Traditional snacks - torrijas - toast from bread soaked in wine (or milk), poured with eggs, honey (sugar, syrup),
and flamenkines, deep-fried slices of veal, which are wrapped in cold smoked ham and cheese.
Almost everywhere in Spain, the end of Holy Week means the beginning of the bullfighting season. In arcos de la frontera in
Easter Sunday is the local version of the "running of the bulls", and in Malaga, with the Easter mass, the first bullfight season is held.

How shops work in Easter
Shops are working normally on Thursday and Saturday.
Good Friday and
Easter Sunday the shops are closed, but some may work a few hours between 8:00
and 18:00.
REMA shops work as usual.
Grocery stores
Lidl
will work on April 1 and 2 from 9 in the morning.
They say that in Madrid will open at 8 am. Better check on
store site .

Католическая Пасха отмечается в воскресенье вслед за первым полнолунием, наступившим после дня весеннего равноденствия (20 марта). Это центральное событие лютеранского календаря и главный церковный праздник года, посвященный великому таинству Воскрешения Иисуса Христа.
Традиции Католической Пасхи
Традиции Католической Пасхи во многом схожи с пасхальными обычаями протестантов и православных.
Пасхальное торжественное богослужение начинается в Страстную Субботу, за несколько часов до полночи.
В темный храм (в котором заранее потушены все огни) вносят одну зажженную свечу, украшенную первой
и последней буквами греческого алфавита - альфа и омега. Эти буквы означают первую и последнюю точку
земного существования Христа и символизируют начало той новой жизни, которая ждет каждого истинного
христианина на Небесах.
В первый день Пасхи у католиков принято обмениваться подарками, жертвовать деньги
незнакомым людям,
нищим и бездомным. Также в праздничный день устраиваются народные гуляния и концерты.
В некоторых католических церквях проводят ритуал сжигания чучела Иуды –
ученика Христа, который
предал своего Учителя за тридцать серебренников.
На праздничном столе у католиков обязательно присутствуют традиционные пасхальные
блюда: куличи, крашеные яйца и творожные пасхи.
