At the international festival VYSOTSKI FEST International in Finland, dedicated to the works of the Russian poet and musician Vladimir Vysotsky, his songs will be performed in seven languages of the world, on January 23, he writes the Finnish portal yle.fi.

Within this fourth festival, three concerts are planned, which will be held in Helsinki, Espoo and Hyvinkää from January 24 to 26.

According to the event organizer Vladimir Ischenko, Vysotsky is one of the most famous Russian songwriters in the world.

“This is definitely the case. His songs are translated into 216 languages. In English - about one and a half thousand, six hundred into Polish, about three hundred into Bulgarian, and one hundred and fifty translations into Finnish, ”says Ischenko.

Among the most notable participants in the international festival, Ischenko calls the Norwegian Jorn Simen Øverli (Jørn Simen Øverli), who in the 80s Years bought the rights to perform songs Vysotsky in Norway.

Since then, the Norwegian gave about two thousand concerts, recorded two discs, performed on Taganka and in the House of Vysotsky.

According to the portal, the most popular song of Vysotsky in Finland is “Song of a Friend”, which is sung in three different versions.

In particular, in one of the versions, the words of the original “boy in the mountains of danking, take a risk” turned into “Take the guy in the sea,” which “is closer and clearer for a Finn,” the website writes.

In Finland, Vladimir Vysotsky's songs will be performed in Russian, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Armenian, Spanish and French.
